My Drugstore Deals: 86% Savings

Retail Price: $159.65

My Bottom Line: $22.91

This week some of my favorite deals at CVS & Walgreens were:

• Huggies 72 ct. Wipes $0.29 (WAGS)

• Huggies Little Movers Jumbo Pack $3.50 (CVS)

• Nexxus Roundbrush Orignally $16.99, but I got it for $7.62 ( This was a little more of a "splurge" item; I've been really wanting a good round brush! CVS)
• Reach Toothbrushes Register Rewards Moneymaker: I found some on clearance for $1.09 each that worked for the "Buy 3 get $6 RR" deal; after using $0.50/1 coupons I paid $1.77 for them and got a $6 RR! (WAGS) so it was a $4.23 moneymaker!

• Kids Colgate Toothbrushes (Dora the Explorer) for $0.35 (On clearance for $0.75 and I had a $0.40/1 coupon; WAGS).

I was able to increase my savings at CVS this week by splitting my purchases into 2 transactions and using a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase (from a survey on their site), and a $4 off $20 purchase from a coupon booklet available from the pharmacy (when you ask about their Readyfill program). The great thing about these coupons is that you only have to get your total above the purchase price amount ($20 or $25) BEFORE coupons-just be sure to hand the cashier this coupon before using manufacturers coupons, so it rings up properly!

Walgreens $50 Coupon Book

Be on the lookout at your local Walgreens for these coupon books:

I found a TON of them up at the front of the store with the weekly circulars. Ever since Walgreens discontinued their monthly rebate program with the "Easy Saver Catalog," their store coupons have been limited to just those in the weekly ads, which are not nearly as good. This coupon book has a lot of coupons which can be matched up with manufacturer coupons though!

The coupon that I am most excited about is this one:

Their Huggies Wipes 64 ct. tubes are regularly priced at $2.79. With this coupon that makes them only $0.79!! You can also stack it with the $0.50 Huggies Wipes coupon (SmartSource 07/19) to get these for only $0.29 each!

You can bet that I'm going to be stocking up!

(By the way, the coupons all expire August 29th)

Weekly Grocery Trip: 77% Savings

Retail Price: $123.03
My Bottom Line: $28.84
Savings: 77%

Savings Breakdown:
Coupons Tendered: $32.15
Double Coupons Tendered: $14.38
Catalina Savings: $7
Advertised Sale Savings/Markdowns: $30.66
Rebate Savings: $10 Kelloggs Rebate

You wouldn't know it by this picture that I was moving in 2 weeks! Although I've been trying to buy just basics lately-partly because we're moving and partly because the sales have been terrible-I had such a hard time turning down the sales this week! There was a great sale at Copps on Kelloggs Products which allowed me not only to take advantage of the $10 Kelloggs Mail-in-Rebate, but when I matched this offer up with coupons I had from the Sunday newspaper inserts and special Kelloggs coupon booklets I found at the store and Copps/PickNSave "Double Dayz" double coupons I was able to get $41.97 worth of groceries for just $1.20!

We should have no problem eating up our perishable items before we move, and we are planning on just bringing all the extra boxes of cereal and everything else I've managed to stockpile this summer back to Utah with us. One of the things I hate about moving is after several weeks of cleaning, packing, a long drive is to show up to your new place with weeks of unpacking and organizing and no food. In the past I would inevitably end up making a huge (and expensive) shopping trip within the first couple days to fill our cupboards. Although it might not make sense to many other people to move boxes of cereal, pasta, salad dressing, and tons of other non-perishables across the country it is SO much cheaper to do this when I can get all that food at 70-80% off the full price.

Are you curious how I manage to do this? In the weekly posts I give you the readers digest version of my grocery trips, which are mostly meant to inspire you that consistently having enormous savings by using coupons and sticking to a budget can be done! I also do it to hold myself somewhat accountable to our family budget (sometimes it's easy to get carried away with the deals). This week though I am going to do a full breakdown, step-by-step, of how exactly I combined my coupons to sales and hopefully enlighten new couponers to how you can do it too! Look for that post shortly!

Kelloggs $24 Coupon Booklet!

Be on the lookout for these kelloggs coupon booklets. I found this one at Walmart at the end of the cereal aisle. It has $24 of coupons that can be used in conjunction with the $10 rebate I mentioned here (the booklet also includes the rebate form inside). The great thing is that all of the coupons are technically for non-Kelloggs products, so you can still use Kelloggs coupons along with these.

For example: there is a coupon in here for $2 off of a 64 oz. Ocean spray Cranberry Juice or Ocean Spray Craisins (6 oz, 10 oz, or 100-calorie sized) when you purchase 2 boxes of frosted Mini-Wheats and/or Raisin Bran.

Today I bought

• 2 boxes of Mini-Wheats on sale at Target this week for $1.88/box and used two $1/1 coupons.

• 6 oz. bag of Craisins for $1.97 and used the $2 off coupon for it (I had a good cashier who let the 3 penny overage slide!).

Altogether the 3 items cost $1.66! Even though I didn't particularly need to cereal I did want Craisins and it ended up being 30 cents cheaper to buy all 3 together with coupons than to buy the Craisins individually!

There are coupons for:

• $2/gallon of milk wyb (when you buy) two packages of Keebler Grahams Crackers and or Grahams sandwich bites

• $2/gallon of milk wyb two packages of Keebler cookies and/or Gripz products

• $2/fresh fruit wyb and two packages of Eggo Frozen Waffles

• $2/store brand coffee wyb two packages of Nutri-Grain bars

• $2/64oz. Ocean Spray Craberry Juice Drink or Ocean Spray craisins (6oz, 10oz, or 100-cal packs) wyb two packages of Mini-Wheats and/or Raisin Bran cereals

• $2/any store brand bread wyb any two Kelloggs Fruit Flavored Snacks and/or Kelloggs Yogos or Yogos Rollers

• $2/gallon of milk wyb and two packages of Keebler and or Sunshine Rite Bites Snacks

• $2/store brand bread wyb any two packages of Kelloggs Rice Krispies treats

• $2/store brand bottled water wyb and one package of Special K cereal AND one package of any Special K protien products

• $2/two-2L or one-12 pack of Sprite or sprite Zero wyb and two packages of Sunshine Cheez-It Baked Snack crackers

• $2/fresh fruit wyb and two packages of Keebler and/or Austin Snadwich crackers

• $2/any two Dannon Danimals Crush Cup 4-pack or Danimals Smoothie packs wyb and two packaees of these Kelloggs Cereals: Cocoa Krispies, Corn Pops, Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, Frosted Flakes.

Schick Razor Gift Sets 48 Cents at Target!!

I found this great deals at Target yesterday:

The value packs contains 1 limited edition black razor, 1 Banana Boat 2 oz. Sunscreen, 4-Pack Titanium refills, and 1 Quattro Travel Case.

They had other razor gift sets marked down as well like Venus Embrace Value Packs $4.48. Use the $2/1 coupon from P&G 6/7 or 7/5 inserts and get this for $2.48.

Remember YMMV!

Target Deals: MorningStar, Smart Ones

Morningstar Garden Veggie Patties (9.5 oz.) are regularly priced at $1.64 at Target. Buy 2 and use this $2/2 coupon here plus a $1/1 coupon here (this coupon is a limit of one per household, per the fine print) to get these for $0.14 after coupons.

Smart Ones Frozen Meals are priced at $1.99. Target just released a $1/1 coupon here making them $0.99 after the coupon. If your Target accepts more than one like Target coupon per transaction, you can buy 10 and use the $4/10 coupon here along with 10 $1/1 coupons to get them for $0.59 each after coupons. (Thanks, Money Saving Mom!)

Kohl's Discount Codes

For those of you who have a Kohl's Card there is a new 30% off code HOTBUY30 (Valid 7/15-7/22) , which can also be used in conjunction with this free shipping code: MVC2188 (expires 07/18).

I can often find cute stuff in the clearance section like this Daisy Fuentes top:

Originally $42
On clearance for $12.80

After 30% off only $8.96!

While normally I am against getting store credit cards (because you usually end up losing out in the long run) Kohl's is the one card I do have just because it gives these great discounts 12 times throughout the year as opposed to most store credit cards which lure consumers to sign up and only offer an initial 10-15% off their first purchase. I always make sure I pay off the balance right away as well- it's not a deal when you end up paying interest!

$1 any Softsoap Handsoap

Use zip code 45435 here to print off $1/1 Softsoap hand soap and $2/1 Softsoap or Irish Spring body wash!

Softsoap often goes on sale for $1 so this should make for some FREE soap!
