This week I didn't really need to get very much since we still have so many dinner basics stocked up from previous weeks. I did take advantage of an amazing cereal deal at Copps this week, even though we are still well stocked up on cereal (I have such a hard time passing up free cereal!). There are a couple things from my shopping that I picked up last night and forgot to add to this picture (I had a couple freebie coupons expiring yesterday; one Kashi frozen meal and one 2L Dr. Pepper). I also need a couple more fruits and vegetables which I will pick up tomorrow (ran out of time today) which will cost about $10 more. This will be a VERY inexpensive week for grocery shopping, which I am so excited about! I get such a high walking out of a store with several bags of food for just a few dollars!
Copps Retail price: $79.20
What I paid: $16.91 Savings of 79%
Savings breakdown:
Coupons tendered: $20.05
Double coupons tendered: $9.25
"Instant Savings" at checkout promotions*: $15
Sale Price Savings: $17.99
*There was a $10 instant savings for buying 8 participating Kellogs Products (the cereal), and a $5 instant savings for buying 1 pkg of Pampers and 1 Duracell battery in the same transaction.

I had quite the opposite reaction on my last couple of shopping trips. Yesterday I picked up only a few things, and was shocked when the Superstore (cheapest store around) cashier said, "That will be $50.50, please". (Then she laughed at the 50-50 joke, like I was participating in a lottery purchase!) It was canola oil, (the no name cheapest), calcium supplement (another inexpensive one for here), red peppers (on a good sale), an avocado, small amount of parmesan in bulk, some frozen plain salmon and fake crab flakes (both the cheapest type)....yeesh. I told your Dad you would be very sad to shop here! So am I!
