Happy Canada Day!

I must admit I am a novice when it comes to getting good deals in Canada since unfortunately I didn't discover couponing until after I moved to America-it's a little harder to scout out deals when you don't live in the particular area you are researching. While they may not be as many couponers, or coupons out there in Canada I was pleasantly surprised while I was researching for this post how much I did find! There are quite a few resources for our penny pinching, savvy shopping, frugally minded neighbours to the north!
Best Canadian Deal Sites & Blogs:

Smart Canucks: "Canada's largest coupon and shopping deals community" has a lot of great deals, coupons and free stuff posted regularly. Check out their forums for information about deals and flyers, coupons etc.

Canadian Free Stuff: This blog posts up weekly coupon & sale matchups for 13 nation-wide grocery, drugtores & retail stores (like Superstore, Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, Sobey's, IGA, Price Chopper, Zellers, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc.). They post about coupons, deals and even have various contests like this one for a summer survival kit of $185 worth of products or grand prize of $5000 cash! You can also participate in a "coupon train" to trade coupons through mail with fellow Canucks.

Grocery Savings has a long list of available grocery coupons from various sources.

Red Flag Deals has a broader range of deals from retail stores, airfare discounts, coupons, tech deals, etc. for Canada

Proctor & Gamble Offers and Promotions offers a variety of coupons, contests and free samples. Check periodically for new promotions and coupons.
Sources of Canadian Coupons:
1) Mail Order Coupons- there are several websites that allow you to select coupons which they will mail to you for FREE!
There are two coupon inserts that you can find in newspapers. They do not come every week, or even always on the same weeks (actually very rarely on the same weeks, as you can see that I've bolded the dates which both inserts are delivered). Here is the 2009 coupon insert schedule so you know when to buy newspapers (or ask for inserts from neighbours and friends who don't use theirs!):
